Robbie Miller
Story
On October 19th, 2024 our baby boy, Brooks Reggie Miller was born sleeping.
The Wimmera Base Hospital where Brooks was born had been donated a Bears of Hope cuddle cot, which gave us precious & valuable time with our boy, whilst keeping him comfortable. This gave us the opportunity to stay with him as long as we wished to & cuddle our precious boy & the opportunity for our family & friends to meet Brooks & say their goodbyes while holding him.
For my son Brooks I would like to do a 24 hour run on Friday, February the 28th 2025 starting at 4:00pm and finishing on March 1st at 4:00pm. Location is at the Laharum Football Netball Club, Cameron oval.
We want to and hope that we can raise money so our family can donate a cuddle cot to a Hospital that does not currently have one. We wish to give another family the opportunity to spend as much time with their baby if this tragically happens to them.
I would be grateful for anyone that is able to pledge an amount for every KM I run within the 24 hours (example if I run 100kms and you pledge $1:00 a km your donation would be $100.00. You are also able to make donations prior.
LFNC will have the Bar open & food will be available if you wish to be there to support me finishing up, or to have a run along with me.
I'm making a difference by fundraising for Bears Of Hope Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support. Bears Of Hope aims to comfort, acknowledge, empower, and guide families from within days of their loss and beyond.
Bears of Hope provides counselling, support groups, grief workshops, parent support weekends, community events and crucial resources to help families navigate this heartbreaking time. In Australia, one in four pregnancies end in loss. As many as 100,000 new families may need support each year.
Your support of any amount is gratefully appreciated to help keep their services fee-free and together we can make that difference for families in need.
